May is fast approaching and so is our big fundraising event. We are presenting a Vintage Valley Car Show and Silent auction on Saturday, May 6th in the Axis Clinical parking lot 1711 Center Ave W, Dilworth, MN from 10am-5pm. We have all worked very hard for this event and have some really great items to bid on. We hope for a large turn out from the community. See you there!
May is also Mental Health Awareness Month. Its purpose is to raise awareness and educate the public about mental illnesses; the realities of living with a mental illness; and strategies for attaining mental health and wellness. It also aims to draw attention to suicide, which can be precipitated by some mental illnesses. Additionally, Mental Health Awareness Month strives to reduce the stigma (negative attitudes and misconceptions) that surrounds mental illnesses.
Be sure to get help if you feel uncontrollable sadness, anger or hopelessness. If you’re eating or sleeping more or less than usual, withdrawing from family and friends, or just feeling “off,” talk to someone before serious problems develop that may impact your quality of life.
Remember mind your health today and every day. Enjoy life and just breath.
