As we leave the holiday of Thanksgiving behind us, I pray that we do not leave our gratefulness on the table with the leftovers but continue to bring love, grace, understanding and joy to every new day. People who regularly practice gratitude by taking time to notice and reflect upon the things they’re thankful for experience more positive emotions, feel more alive, sleep better, express more compassion and kindness, and even have stronger immune systems. So while we are in transition both weather wise and seasonally continue to be grateful for the bounties of this earth.
Well baby, it’s getting colder outside so bundle up and embody the Christmas spirit of charity, forgiveness, friendship, unselfish love and generosity. At A Place for Hope, we know what makes the Christmas spirit so unique and special. Here we improve mental health by building friendships, encouraging recreation, enhancing support and instilling hope in our members. Because AP4H is here and available for them, they feel respected and not minimized. We are an important entity in the link between mental health and wellness and recovery. Please, consider us when planning your charitable donation this glorious season and help us continue to give our members a place for hope.
